SERGEANT JAMES HARDY “JAMIE” CLEVENGER, (RET.) age 49, of Jefferson City, TN passed away August 14, 2017. He was retired from the U. S. Army, where he was a member of the Special Forces during two tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was an active member of American Legion Post #113. Preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Frankie Clevenger; sister, Libbie Reagon; and brother, Bill Clevenger. He is survived by his son, Tyler James Clevenger; living mother, Deborah Lykens; sister, Connie Reagan; brother, Jimmie T. Clevenger; special friends, Tina Anderson and Tate West; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Goff and Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside interment service with military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2017 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville, TN.
