James Steven Calloway

James Steven "Steve/Junior" Calloway, of Knoxville, TN, passed away September 1, 2020, unexpectedly, but with family by his side. He was born October 29, 1968 to James A. and M. Annette Calloway in Jacksonville, FL. Steve attended Winter Haven High School, in Winter Haven, Florida, with the class of 1986. He joined the U.S. Army later that year and served his term in Germany. There he married his first wife, Annette Calloway, and had a daughter, Charlette Marie Joanna Calloway, which gave him 2 grandchildren, Megan Calloway and James Ian Calloway. Once he was stateside, he would divorce and have a son, Alexander Barron, residing in Deland, FL. He would then marry his current wife, Deanna Calloway and have 2 children, James Michael Calloway and Samantha Rae Garrison, along with step daughter, Ashley Marie Banion (Cole), which gave him 3 grandchildren, Bentley, Parker, and Katherine. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, M. Annette Calloway, and his son, James Michael Calloway. He is survived by his wife, Deanna Calloway, and his former wife, Annette Calloway. His daughters, Charlette Calloway and Samantha Garrison, his step daughter, Ashley Banion (Cole), and his son, Alexander Barron. His grandchildren, Megan and James Ian Calloway, and Bently, Parker, and Katherine Banion. Also, his father, James A. Calloway, sister, Louanne Linderman (David) and her children, David Norman, Jr. (Kristin) and children, Jennifer Harubin (Justin) and children, Amberlea Mooneyham (Roger) and Daelin, and Hannah Thore (Tyler). Also, his sister, Suzanne Calloway, and her children, Austin Calloway and Chloe Calloway. He also has many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Not to mention many friends from the past and present. To those who knew Steve, he was a very sensitive soul who only wanted to make you laugh and see you excel in your dreams. He was a dreamer himself. Always coming up with the next get rich scheme. He was a brilliant minded person and could always talk his way out of everything. He even talked his friends out of trouble in high school. He was known to some as sort of a free spirit. He lived his life full throttle and threw caution to the wind. To his co-workers, he was known to them as Junior. He was a great team player and always had your back. He was a talented Transportation Broker and used that gift of gab to be successful in his line of work. When he wasn't working, he loved to play pool, he was a dominating pool shark. He could run a table all night. When he was younger, he would always be in a pool tournament somewhere. As he got older, he just did it to prove he still had it. Steve will be missed by so many. There are those who never got the chance to enjoy his spirit. Rest assured, he is finally at peace. "Son, I love you very much and always have. I now know you are at peace. I can't help but to remember your favorite phrase, "I'm the only HELL my mama ever raised"." ~ Dad "My beloved Vather, every time with you was intense, So what you have deep in your heart cannot be lost through death. In eternal love, your daughter, Charlette" ~ Charlette Calloway "You are my soul mate, and until they close our boxes, I will love you forever" ~ Steve & Annette Calloway "To me, you were more than my brother, you were my best friend, my rock, my protector. I will certainly be lost in this world without you! I love you, Steve, until my last breath!" ~ Lil' Sis, Suzanne Calloway "You were my best friend and the love of my life!!" ~ Deanna Calloway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTY9bvTT4C8 - Annette Calloway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPcGyriXDfo - Charlette Calloway
