Jack Alan Hodgson, age 72 of Jefferson City, TN passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at his home. Jack dearly loved his wife Melanie and family and especially treasured being Papaw to his five grandchildren. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Morristown and worked in the aerospace industry as an Owner/President of Integrated Resources LLC and Heritage Company, Inc. He also served as Division Manager at Pioneer Plastics in Morristown, TN during his career.

Jack was also a member of a small group of shareholders who revitalized First Peoples Bank and served there as a banking director for the past 13 years.  He was passionate about his community and the importance of a locally owned bank.  

Jack loved his life on the family farm, being in the outdoors playing golf and guitar, cheering on the Vols, spending time with his family and fur family, and traveling in his RV with Melanie.

Jack attended Maury High School, University of Tennessee for his undergrad and MBA, and served 8 years in the Air National Guard.

Jack is preceded in death by his son Trevor Isaac Hodgson, his mother Nina Sharp Hodgson; his father, Ellis Mack Hodgson, Jr.; brother Dr. Ellis Mack Hodgson, III; brother-in-law Terry Lynn Davis and father-in-law Robert “Bobby” Thomas. Jack is survived by his wife of 49 years Dr. Melanie Thomas Hodgson; daughter Cara Hodgson Vojdani, son-in-law Sia Vojdani and daughter-in-law Jamie Parker Hodgson; grandsons Crosby Jack Hodgson (10), Cooper Lake Hodgson (8), Ellis Nabil Vojdani (7); granddaughters Anisa Vojdani (15) and Naomi Grace Vojdani (3); sister Ella Hodgson Davis; nephew, Terry Lynn Davis II and wife Dr. Bethany Davis and children Savannah and Elise Davis; sister-in-law Terri Duggin and niece, Lena Duggin-Hodgson; mother-in-law Wanda Rankin Thomas; sister-in-law, Tanya Thomas Turner and brother-in-law Russell Glenn Turner.

Receiving of friends will be held at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, 411 W Broadway Blvd, Jefferson City, TN 37760, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from noon to 2 p.m., with a service immediately following.
