JACK DEMPSEY HAWKINS SR, age 81, of Morristown, TN went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 22, 2022 following a brief illness.  He was a member of Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church.  He was co-owner and operator of Hawks House of Billiards in Morristown and a member of the Shawanee Lodge # 546 F. & A. M.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl, Sr. and Molly Florence Hawkins; brothers, Bob, Lee, Snookie, Earl, & Ted Hawkins; sister, Dolly Harmon; and son-in-law Rufus Norton.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bertha Hawkins. His sister, Lois Keck, children, Lois (Larry) Watkins, Carolyn Norton, Jack (Lori) Hawkins II; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Allison (Steve), Isaac, Christian (Cody), Carrie, and Melody; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Hadley, & Hendrix; as well as many nieces and nephews.  It was his request to be cremated.  When his wife joins him in heaven for eternity their ashes will combined together as one.  There will be a Celebration of Life service on July 31, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Talbott with Rev. Andrew Smith officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Memory of Jack D. Hawkins Sr.
