Henry Woodrow “Woody / Bud” Vickers, III, age 66 of Jefferson City, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
Born September 21, 1957, he was the son of the late Vivian Virginia Thomas Wine & Elmer Thomas Wine.
Mr. Vickers retired from a career with the United States Postal Service, having worked mostly in Knoxville. He was an avid biker and Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Vickers served overseas. While in Italy, he met and married Rosa Kathy Cooper. The couple has one daughter, Nicole Andrea “Nikki” Vickers.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clara & Vaughn Thomas and his parents, Vivian & Elmer Wine.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Nicole Vickers; son-in-law, Blaze Eadie; grandson, Chase Braiden Cross; sisters, Donna (Jeffrey) Berry & Geishla (Tommy) Alexander; niece, Amanda Allison Berry (Payton) Spencer; best friend since childhood and brother of the heart, Danny Hubbard; numerous aunts, uncles & cousins; several extended family members, and friends.
Rev. Darrell Chambers will officiate a Celebration of Life; which is scheduled for 3PM Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the American Mason’s Lodge Fellowship Hall in Dandridge. The family will receive friends from 1PM to 3PM, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Veterans or Childrens charity of your choice.
