Guillermo A. “Willy” Villar Lambruschini, age 74, passed away on Monday October 21, 2024.
Willy was born in Peru, and moved to the U.S.A. for college receiving his BA at Warren Wilson College in North Carolina and his MBA at the University of Tennessee. After graduating he held managerial positions at Ortec in Oak Ridge and Wagner Electric in Sevierville, before starting his importing business that he ran for over thirty-five years. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed coaching his son’s elementary soccer team and later traveling with his family, both domestically and abroad. He also took pride in serving his home country of Peru, volunteering at a nearby consulate, helping with elections.
He was dearly loved by his wife, sons, and broader family and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfredo Villar Igreda and Hulda Villar Lambruschini, of Peru, and his brother Gustavo “Gus” Villar Lambruschini, of Ohio.
He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Linda Villar, his son Guillermo Villar, son Jeremy Villar (Estefany), precious granddaughter, Charlotte Villar Delvasto, brothers Juan “Coco” Villar (Gaby) and Luis “Mellizo” Villar (Patty), sister Rosario “Charo” Salmon-Villar (David), sister-in-law, Peggy Villar, and several nieces and nephews.
A private service was held at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating.
