Grace Knowling (Mamaw) Hill

GRACE KNOWLING (MAMAW) HILL, age 93, of Talbott, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday afternoon, October 9, 2003 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was the oldest member of Lebanon Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hill; parents, T. H. and Minnie Knowling; brothers, James Hugh, Elmer and Ray Knowling; sister, Pearl Hopkins. She is survived by her sons, W. T. Hill, Fain Hill and wife, Ruby ; daughters, Betty Wheeler, Nannie Robbins and husband, Dan, all of Talbott; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brother, Horace Knowling and wife, Kathleen of Billings, Montana; sister-in-laws, Julia Knowling, Hazel Knowling and Ethel Hill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2003 at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend R. J. Seal and Reverend Horace Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
