Glen E. Branson

GLEN E. BRANSON, age 78, of Dandridge, TN and formerly of Harlan, KY passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN surrounded by his immediate family. He was a former employee of Coca-Cola bottling plant and Chapels Dairy and retired from Harlan County Fiscal Court. He was a member of the Jefferson City Church of God. Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend William Eugene Branson and Mae Adams Branson; siblings, Kenneth Gene Branson, Marilyn Kay, Brenda Gibson and Reverend Larry Branson. He is survived by his loving wife, Freddie Williams Branson; children, Rhonda (James) Posey of Dandridge, TN and Melissa (Barry) Gilliam of Church Hill, TN; siblings, Delois Reed, Gina (Dan) Freeman, and Gary (Janet) Branson; grandchildren, Meagan Templeton, Jessica Stewart, Kara-Glyn Jarvis, Shelbea Posey, Anna Posey, and Austin Posey; and eleven great-grandchildren. A visitation will take place on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 1:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dandridge, TN with Pastor Joe Cureton officiating. Pallbearers will be James Lovett, Austin Posey, Jay Templeton, Sean Jarvis, and Andrew Stewart.
