Fred Wayne Fain

FRED W. FAIN, age 87 of Dandridge, TN, passed away Saturday evening, April 6, 2024, at Jefferson Park following a brief illness. He was born and raised in Dandridge, TN, the son of the late George W. and Cenia (Ownby) Fain. He was a graduate of Maury High School and was a long-time, self-employed electrician and enjoyed farming on the side. He was a member of the Chestnut Grove Church and was a former alderman for the Town of Dandridge. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronald Fain; sisters, Mae Huskey, Ruth Byard, and Hazel Jones; brothers, Oscar, Frank, Ray, Charlie, and Arville Fain. Fred is survived by his wife of 64 years, Maleta (Chrisman) Fain; son, Mike Fain; grandchildren, Brandi (Charlie) Montgomery and Damian Fain; great-grandchildren, Briana, Shyanne, and Sarah Montgomery; brother, Clyde (Carolyn) Fain; and sister-in-law, Betty Fain. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 2:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Dandridge Chapel with Brother Murrell Jarnigan officiating and a graveside interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
