Franklin Roy "Frank" Ottman

Franklin Roy "Frank" Ottman, age 89 of Morristown, passed away on September 9, 2026

Frank loved Jesus, and his family. He was committed to raising his children “in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” He made significant efforts to be involved in his families’ lives. He had a great heart for missions, and served both internationally, nationally, and locally. Frank often sought opportunities to minister to others. He was an avid golfer; and enjoyed camping, hiking, cross country skiing, & kayaking.

Born in Carlisle, New York, Frank graduated SUNY Oneanta; earning his degree in Secondary Education. He then taught high school math and physics; later becoming a school business administrator for New York's upstate school systems.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Irene Ottman; his first wife of 30 years, Ruthamay Seymour Ottman; son, Todd; granddaughter, Ashley; sister, Reba; and brother, Richard. Those left to cherish his memory are his second wife, Patricia Collins; children, Mark (Andrea); Jonathan (Jenny), and Jennifer (J.Christian McCready); stepsons, Michael & Jeffrey; ten grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a brother, James (MaryAnn); and several "spiritual grandchildren".

Pastor Jim Price will officiate a Celebration of Life; which will be held at 10:30AM, Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Heritage Fellowship Church in Jefferson City.
