Frances Reno McMahan, age 90, of Dandridge, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, March 22, 2026 at the beautiful Roger’s Cottage, Jefferson Park, Dandridge. “Well done, good and faithful servant” Matt. 25:23 Frances was born July 5, 1935 to Lennie B. Gann and George H. Reno Sr. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Eugene “Stew” McMahan; sisters, Lillian B. Reno Baxter and Sue Reno Hance; brother, George H. “Junior” Reno and both parents. Frances is survived by (in her words) “her 3 good kids” Jeannie (Paul) Windsor, Brenda (Darrell) Ellis, Buddy (Lisa) McMahan all of Dandridge. Granddaughter’s, Whitney Ellis (Ben) Ehlers of Bethel Park, PA and Alivia McMahan of Dandridge. Three Great-Grandchildren, Alexis, Ginia & Jaxon, all of Bethel Park, PA. She leaves with them a great legacy of love & kindness. Frances retired with 33 years of service from Magnavox, Jefferson City, TN. She was very well known in her hometown of Dandridge as “Memmie” You could always count on a heartfelt greeting, hugs, and lots of love. God blessed her with creative ways to give encouragement, no matter your walk of life. On behalf of the family, we would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Jefferson Park and Smoky Mountain Hospice for their love and excellent care. We will always remember & remain forever grateful. Frances was a member of Hills Union Church, Dandridge. She enjoyed serving others the love of Christ through a warm welcome as door greeter and always looked forward to helping wherever needed in Bible School. Frances loved God with all her heart and loved others well. Please join family & friends in this going home celebration with a visitation on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 1-3 at Hills Union Church, 2383 Hills Chapel Rd, Dandridge, TN 37725. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm with Pastor Darrell Chambers & Sherri Franklin, officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in Hills Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request any memorial gifts be made to Hills Union Church, 2383 Hills Chapel Rd, Dandridge, TN 37725.
