EVA C. " MICKEY" CROSBY

EVA C. “MICKEY” CROSBY, age 97 of Talbott, TN passed away Sunday afternoon, March 18, 2018 at Jefferson Park Nursing Center at Dandridge. She was born, April 17, 1920 in the Kansas Community of Talbott, TN the daughter of the late C.M. and Ethel (Reese) Creswell and was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clinton Crosby; grandson, Chad Matthews; brothers, Gene and Harris Creswell; sister, Bonnie Kate Creswell. Mickey was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she served in many leadership roles of the church including 50 years as church pianist and was presently a member of the First Methodist Church of Morristown. She served 24 years as the deputy clerk for the Jefferson Co. Register of Deeds office and was active in the Kansas-Talbott community where she lived. She is survived by her children, Charles (Jane) Crosby, Carolyn (Danny) Matthews and Catherine (Todd) Haughton; grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) Matthews, Josh (Jayna) Valentine and Nina Fields; granddaughter-in-law, April Matthews; great grandchildren, Hunter and Hudson Valentine, Brian, Drew, Sydney, Aaron, Alan and Austin Matthews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018, 3:00pm at the First United Methodist Church of Morristown with Dr. Darris Doyle, Rev. Walter Weikel and Rev. Danny Matthews officiating. Family and friends will meet at Ebenezer Cemetery for the graveside interment service following the funeral. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
