Esta Mae Cox

ESTA MAE COX, age 85, of New Market, TN passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025. She was retired from Carson Newman College, and was a friend to everyone. She loved being outside and working in her flowers. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Cox; parents, Richard and Minnie Roach; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Eula Roach, James and Marie Roach, Lonnie Roach, Marshall and Mavis Roach, Howard and Effie Roach; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Frank Gilbert; brothers-in-law, Dale Cox, David Lynn Cox. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Tammy Cox; step-grandchildren, Adam Majors, Tyler and Katie Majors; step-great-grandchildren, Peregrine, Ruth, Holden, Boone, and Noble Majors; sisters-in-law, Lois Roach, Brenda Cox, Martha Cox; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Monday, August 4, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronnie Trent officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday morning at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family wishes to give a special appreciation to the staff of Jefferson Park of Dandridge for their loving care.
