EMILY KAUFFMAN COWAN, age 31 of White Pine, TN flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels Sunday December 27, 2020 after a 6 month battle from a devastating injury. Emily was the proud and loving mother to 2 beautiful young boys, Wesley and Abel, whom she loved more than life itself. She was the light of her parents eyes. She was a beautiful and loving baby sister to her siblings. She was a favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a smiling and tender niece to several aunts and uncles. She was an inspiration and true friend to countless others.
Emily had a smile that lit up any room she ever walked into. The moment you met her, you loved her. She had the most beautiful, long curly hair and big brown eyes you’d ever seen. She cared deeply, loved fiercely and never hung up the phone, not even once, without telling her family she loved them. Emily loved the Lord and was in awe of His grace and forgiveness. She understood what it meant to be a child of God and because of that, she saw the good in everyone...even in those who others had tossed aside. Her love held no prejudice. She was an empath and an old soul. If those around her were hurting, Emily was hurting and she wanted to make it all better. She inspired people every single day to find forgiveness in themselves and to learn to love themselves again...simply because she had.
Her dedication to helping others recover from addiction was the most beautiful representation of recovery many have ever seen. She walked humbly with grace, courage and strength every single day. She was renewed.
To honor Emily, the family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date, to be announced.
