Elizabeth Rhea Watkins, age 91 of Morristown went home to be with her Lord and savior on Thursday, May 21, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. She was a long-time member of Morningside Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Watkins, sons, Frank Watkins and Robert John Watkins, brothers, Joe Bob Walker, Lynn Walker and Eddie Walker; sister Anna Tucker, parents, Frank William Walker and Minerva Aileen Leeper Lively.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving daughter-in-law, Charlotte Watkins, brother, John (Kathy) Walker, niece, Tammy (Kenny) Olaker, nephews, Johnny (Pam) Walker, Scotty (Hope) Walker, several other nieces and nephews from the Walker and Watkins family along with a host of friends. The family would like to express a special Thank You to Smoky Mountain Hospice East Knoxville, Sacred Ground Hospice House Knoxville, Tennova Healthcare Lafollette and Signature Lifestyles of Jefferson City.
The family has requested that In Lieu of Flowers please make memorial donations in Elizabeth’s memory to one of these, Serenity House Morristown, Sacred Ground Hospice House in Knoxville, or Morningside Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in Morningside Baptist Church at 1:00pm with visitation being held at the church between the hours of 11:00am and 1:00pm prior to the service, graveside service will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
