Edward Loope peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on October 7, 2025. He was born in Knox County in 1944 to Dewey and Eunice (Hopper) Loope, of White Pine, Tennessee. He graduated from White Pine High School in 1962 and from the University of Tennessee in 1967 with a degree in Engineering. Ed worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority for 35 years as a design engineer, working on various nuclear power plants in the Tennessee Valley area. He married Nancy Finney in 1967 in Tullahoma, Tennessee. They were happily married for 58 years. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Eunice Loope and his sister, Joan Franks. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Loope, his sons, Andrew, Michael, John, and Stephen, daughters-in-law, Jeanine, Mary, and Amy, and grandchildren, Grace, Katie, Carter, Emily, and Sarah. Ed will be remembered as a loving husband and father who loved spending time with family and enjoyed working on the family farm for his whole life. He also enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music. He was a member of Central Baptist Church of Bearden in Knoxville, where he served as a Deacon.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-12 Noon on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Farrar Funeral Home, 1806 Main Street, White Pine, Tennessee. In accordance with the family's wishes, burial will be private. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Tennessee through the link below
