Dorothy Johns Newman

Ms. Dorothy Johns Newman, born in Thorn Hill, Tennessee on January 1, 1952, age 74, sadly passed away on January 23, 2026. She is preceded in death by her father, Charlie Johns, and mother, Eunice Winstead Johns; sisters, Patsy Johns and Evelyn Johns Antrican; brothers, Ralph Johns, Dennis Johns, Gene Johns, and Charlie “Lee” Johns.

She is survived by her former husband, Albert Emmitt Newman; children, Patricia Breeden and Albert William Newman; grandchildren, Christopher Newman, Michael Breeden, Brian Breeden, Anna (Dillion) Jackson, Alicia (Aaron) Trent, Patrick Newman; great granddaughter, Everly Trent; sister, Carolyn Johns Stanley; brother, Ronnie (Brenda) Johns; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.

A receiving of friends will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00pm at Rock Bridge Baptist Church, Thorn Hill, Tennessee. A funeral service will be held at the church on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with the graveside following in Johns Family Cemetery.
