Dorothy Mae Gibbons

Dorothy Mae Gibbons, age 81, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022. She was the manager of the Big T Market in Dandridge from 1975 – 1986.  She retired from Clay City School District in FL in 2012.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Viola Crain Lawless and George Lawless Sr.; husband, Jack Gibbons; brothers, James and Donald Lawless; sister, Donna Moore and sister in-law, Dorothy Lawless.

She leaves behind a loving family, Tammy (Keith) Burgoyne; grandchildren, Daniel (Carrie) Gibbons, Kari (Julian) Wall, Jack (Beth) Beote and Jonathan Burgoyne; great grandchildren, Jessica, Julian, Leya, Evan, Teddy, and Loralai; siblings, Richard (Ann) Lawless, G. LeRoy (Margie) Lawless, Mary (Haskell) Horner, David (Diane) Lawless, Rose (Martin) Rubino, Brenda (John) Lawless-Highley and Curtis Lawless, and many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00PM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Hills Union Cemetery.
