Dorothy Mae Cox

Dorothy Mae Cox, age 92, was carried home to Jesus on angels’ wings on October 9, 2026. She was born to Mary Ethel and Sears Whitt on April 9, 1934. Dorothy was a loving Mother, Daughter, Sister, Mamaw, Aunt, and Friend. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Yvonne; siblings Alline, Hammer, Virgie, Rose, and Marlene. Dorothy is survived by her children, Rhonda, Gail, Larry, Richard, and Missy; grandchildren Jessica, Landon, Kelsey, Dallas, Staci, Larry Jr.; great grandchildren Gage, Chloe, Trinity, Paisley; great-great grandchildren Raelynn and Maverick. She will forever be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to have been a part of her life. Please join us for Receiving of Friends at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, TN on Thursday October 15, 2026, from 4-6 p.m. with the funeral service to directly follow. There will be a graveside service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City, TN on Friday October 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
