James "Donnie" Donald Ellison

James “Donnie” Donald Ellison, age 79 of Jefferson City, TN, went to be with the Lord and his family on September 4, 2026. He was a member of the American Legion Post #113. He loved life, traveling, sunsets, outdoors, and most of all his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George James and Bessie Lee “Sweetheart” Ellison; grandparents, Fannie and Lon Ellison and Mattie and Sam McDaniel; nieces, Donna Collins, Karen Beaver, and Becky Shelton Purkey; nephew, Curtis Beaver; sisters, Patsy Cox and Jean Shelton; and brother, Charlie (Shirley) McDaniel.

He is survived by his sisters, Ailene Combs and Faye (Ed) Ellison-Beaver; nephews and nieces, Doris Ann Cate, Jay Combs, Michael McDaniel, Todd (Kristy) Beaver, Tracy (Chad) Cates, Dustin (Darcy) Cox, and Matthew (Erica) Beaver; and many loving close friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Colt Howard officiating. Graveside service will follow at Westview Cemetery.
