Donald Ray "Don" Smith

Donald Ray “Don” Smith, age 77 of Dandridge, TN (formerly of Morganton, NC), passed away on Sunday June 30, 2024.

A proud veteran of the US Navy, Don served two tours in Vietnam. He was also an avid NASCAR fan; and loved making bead necklaces for family & friends. Don relocated to Eastern Tennessee in 2010 to live with his daughter and caregiver, Kimberly Julian; along with her family, Danny, Ty, Eli, Misty, Justin, Kayla, Kaleb, Austin, Jacob, Amirah, & Sienna.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruhama Smith; parents, Leroy & Mildred Smith; brothers, Adam Leroy Smith, Jr. & Robert Nelson Smith; as well as a stepdaughter, Lisa Pruitt.

He is survived by a sister, Linda (Walter) Moore; sister-in-law, Janet Smith; several stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, niece, nephews, extended family, & friends.

Per his request, Mr. Smith was cremated with services to be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
