Dennis Michael Derrick, age 65 of Dandridge, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Mike was born November 12, 1960 to Dennis Hal and Vola Derrick. Mike was of the Baptist faith and saved at an early age. He was employed by Florida Rock and Tank Lines for 28 years. Outside of work, he enjoyed working in his yard, doing home improvement projects and spending time with his Walker Coon Hound, Oliver and his cat, Charlie. He really enjoyed helping anyone that was in need.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Dianne, step mother, Ginny, father-in-law, Dr. Robert McCray. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela McCray Derrick, mother-in-law, Becky McCray, stepson, Brad Bowlin, stepdaughter, Leslie (Arthur) Todd, step grandchildren, Braden, Eli, Vivian, Jake Bowlin, William and Marion Todd, several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends and co-workers. Mike had a giving heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back. His last gift was being an organ donor so that some others can have a longer life.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery, Dandridge, Tennessee. His body will Lie in State on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. where friends can sign the guest register.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church Dandridge, Jefferson County Humane Society or C.A.R.E. Animal Shelter.
