Daniel "Boone" Ray

Daniel “Boone” Ray, born on November 3, 1946 in Dandridge, TN departed this life on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Throughout his life Daniel was known by many names; dad, father, papaw, pappy, uncle, and brother but the most cherished was Boone. He was a member of Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Alger and Melmer Ray; brothers, Jacinto Ray, Harold Ray; sister, Maglean Ray, and granddaughter, Jasmine Ray. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his children, Dion Ray, Lucy “Ken” Benjamin, Danny Ray, Pinky “Lisa” Ray, Israel “Beverly” Ray, and Tina “Bud” Howell; brothers and sisters, Charles “Priscilla” Ray, Alger “Dennis” Stockley, Edward “Gloria” Ray, Percy Ray, Josephine “Walter” Bryson, Donna “Billy” Branner; and a host of grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 12:00PM at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge with Rev. Donna Branner officiating and Rev. Mike Hannon giving the eulogy. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. The interment will follow at Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church in Dandridge.
