Curtis Eugene Kane

Curtis E. Kane, 74, passed away peacefully at his home on July 28, 2026. Born on January 14, 1952, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Curtis built a life created on service, family, laughter, and kindness. In 2013, he and his beloved wife, Nancy, made their home in New Market, Tennessee, where they continued creating cherished memories together.

On August 10, 1996, Curtis married Nancy L. Kane. Their nearly 30 years of marriage were a testament to unwavering love, loyalty, and devotion. Anyone who knew Curtis knew that his love for Nancy was steadfast and evident in everything he did.

Curtis proudly served his country in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army 1971 to 1987. His years of military service reflected the dedication, strength, and sense of duty that remained with him throughout his life.

Beyond his service, Curtis was known for his lighthearted spirit and wonderful sense of humor. He was never one to turn down a board game or a friendly card game, always enjoying the opportunity to laugh and spend time with those he loved. He had a spot for salty snacks, a deep love for animals, and was always willing to lend a helping hard whenever someone needed it. His good intentions, generous heart, and ability to make others smile left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Curtis is survived by his devotes wife, Nancy L. Kane; his sons, Jason Kane, Josh Kane, and Corey Timmons; his stepdaughter, Annette Foreman; his thirteen bellowed grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his brothers, David Kane, Steven Kane, and Michael Kane; his brother-in-law, Charles “Eddie” Cross; and his lifelong friend and Marine Corps brother, Roy Myers. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

Curtis will be remembered not only for the life he lived but for the joy he brought to others, the love he freely gave, and the unwavering dedication he showed to his family. His laughter, kindness, and playful spirit will be deeply missed but lovingly carried forward by all whose lives he touched.

His legacy is one of service, compassion, and unconditional love – a legacy that will endure for generations to come.
