It is with deep sorrow to announce the passing of Corey Davis, who left us Wednesday, May 28, 2025. He was a beloved father, son, nephew, cousin, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone he met. He was always willing to literally give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He tried to help anyone in need when in fact he needed help himself.
Born on November 22, 1981, as the one and only child of Janice Jackson Davis, Clarksville, Indiana. Corey had a profound love for nature. He found joy in hiking, exploring, fishing, rock climbing, kayaking, and swimming. His connection to the outdoors was a testament to his adventurous spirit and appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. Corey cherished time spent with friends and family just having conversations. He never met a stranger. A friend described him as “A Hell of a Man”. Corey will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Corey leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a reminder to embrace the beauty of nature and the joy of togetherness.
He is survived by one son, Trever Scott (Terry) Louisville, Kentucky, girlfriend, Trae Joyce Wilson, Louisville, Kentucky, aunt, Phyllis Kruer (Larry) of Clarksville, Indiana, and many other family members. Corey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Seldon and Carolyn Jackson, Clarksville, Indiana, and uncle, Lenny Jackson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date which will be listed on Corey’s Facebook page. The family has requested memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Jefferson County, 822 Epco Drive, Dandridge, Tennessee 37725. Thank you in advance.
