Charlotte Jean Ray

CHARLOTTE JEAN WHITLOCK RAY, age 77 of Dandridge, TN passed away, Thursday, May 25, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was a member of the First Christian Church of Newport, TN.  Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Georgia Mae (Gray) Whitlock; her beloved daughter, Wendy Ray; sister, Elaine Valentine; brothers, Gary, Randy and Lemuel Whitlock; infant granddaughter, Macy Jane Ray.  She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lee Ray; children, Angelia (Jeff) Shelton, Robert (Tanya) Ray; grandchildren, Justin and Georgia Mae Shelton, Josie Mae and Gracie Lee Strange, Jacob, Abby, and Ivey Ray; several great-grandchildren.

There will be a gathering of family and friends for a time-sharing of memories with the Charlotte Jean Ray family on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Farrar Funeral in Dandridge.  The family will have a private inurnment service at the Ray Family Cemetery at a later date.
