Charles Murray Thomas, age 86 of White Pine, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 27, 2024. He was an United States Air Force veteran, serving during the Cold War, upon his Honorable Discharge he returned home to Newport. He was employed at Magnavox for 30+ years, where he met his wife Agnes Mae McCoig Thomas, they then moved to White Pine. Charles became active in White Pine Senior Center upon Agnes’s death, where he had many friends in and around White Pine. He was a regular at Douglas Lake Market for breakfast and enjoyed hanging out at Ingle Brother’s Well Drilling as long as his health allowed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Murray (Doc) and Mable Thomas, his wife Agnes McCoig Thomas, mother and father-in-law Earnest and Lillie McCoig, brother, Jerry N Thomas and several brothers and sisters-in-law along with several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sister, Linda Kay Gregg, and her daughter, Kimberly K Gregg, sister-in-law, Martha Thomas, niece, Debbie Marshall, nephew, Steve Thomas, along with several other nieces, nephews, cousins and his only living aunt, Wanda Thomas. Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, 10:00am at Union Cemetery, Newport.
