Charles Stevens Marcum

Charles Stevens Marcum, 83, of Talbott, TN passed peacefully and went to be with his Lord and Savior at home surrounded by his family on February 4, 2026. He was born September 23, 1942.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. He was married to his high school sweetheart and soul mate, Francis Marcum, for 65 years with 7 children and a lifetime of love and adventure together. He retired from Jeffrey Chain and worked over 30 years at Magnavox. He enjoyed doing many hobbies with his family and was loved beyond measure. No words can express how much he will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Uyless & Hettie Marcum and in-laws Ben & Ruby King; Siblings: Howard, Eugene, Uyless Jr., Tommy, James Harvey, Helen, and Estle; Sons: Tim Marcum & Brian Marcum; Grandkids: Johnathan Smith & Tiffany Watts; Great grandkids: Kelsie & Savannah Garrigues

He is survived by his wife, Francis Marcum, along with his children, Shari (Dwayne) Moody, Mitch (Deana) Marcum, Marcella Marcum (Allen), Sandra (Shawn) Savage, Brad and Doneitta Marcum, and Rebecca Marcum along with 31 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. He was blessed with a large family full of love.

He is also survived by his siblings; Jerry, Robert, Carl, and Faye, along with a host of other family and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home with the service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Mel Hawkins and Rev. Andrew Smith officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.
