Charles W. Allen

CHARLES W. ALLEN, age 85 of Dandridge, TN passed away Wednesday evening, Dec. 14, 2016 at Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. He was a life- long resident of Jefferson Co. and was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Charles was a prominent farmer who truly enjoyed working with his cattle on the family farm and was a master carpenter who had retired from McSpadden Builders. Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Hazel Allen and was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Tidwell, Mary Nell Allen; brother, Paul Allen, Jr. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Joyce Phillips Allen; children, Darlene Bradley, Barbara Elder (Freddie), Pauline Allen-Holbert (Doug), Stacy Schlabach (Eric); 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Curt and Judy Wilson; Billy, Joyce and Brad Whitt; Mike and Lucy Wolfenbarger. Funeral services, Saturday, December 17, 2016, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Bradley, Rev. John Thompson and Rev. Charles Shipley officiating. Interment graveside services with Military Honors will be held Sunday, 2:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Jefferson Co.
