Carroll Horner, 78, of White Pine put on his robes of righteousness and entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday June 26, 2021 following a brave battle with cancer.
Carroll was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a loyal friend. He was of Baptist faith and a member of Leadvale Missionary Baptist Church. He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Nora Horner, brother Phil Horner, as well as his father and mother- in- law, John D and Mary Nell Hall.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Mary Carol (Mark) Hazelwood, grandson Josh (Makayla) Hazelwood, granddaughter Caroline Hazelwood, brother Gerald Horner, sister Rhonda (Danny) Epps, brothers – in - law Jerry Hall, John (Glenda) Hall, and sister –in- law Brenda (Jim) Saffles, along with several nieces and nephews. Carroll had a special friendship with his brother-in-law Jim, with whom he enjoyed playing golf, vacationing, and watching University of Tennessee Sports.
The family will receive friends at Leadvale Missionary Baptist Church in White Pine on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 5 – 7 p.m., funeral to follow at the church with Reverend Charlie Harkleroad and Reverend Brandon Cate officiating. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 11:00 at White Pine Cemetery.
