Brenda Lou Hickman Jarnigan, 77, of Jefferson City, TN, passed away peacefully on October 11th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Brenda was born on October 7th, 1948, in Knoxville, TN to Burl and Georgia Hickman. She grew up with a strong sense of family, kindness, and faith — values that guided her throughout her life.

Brenda married Harold Jarnigan in 1992, and together they built a life centered on love, hard work, and devotion to family. She was known for her generous heart, warm smile, and the way she made everyone feel at home.

Brenda worked for Jefferson Memorial Hospital for 20 years. She also worked for the Jefferson City library before covid.

She is survived by son Harold Wayne Jarnigan, daughters Debby Sinner (David), Shelly Kanipe (Jimmy). Dusty Covington (Brian), grandchildren Rebekah Lucas (Josh), Jessica Byrd (Curtis), Michael Buckner (Brittany), Rachel Sinner, Leah Sinner, and Alan Covington, siblings Rick Hickman (Marilyn), Jerry Hickman, Joy Dowell (Roger), nephews Bill Hickman, Eric Hickman, Charlie Mills (Stephanie), Travis Mills (Noelle) niece Teri Rigby (Daniel) and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Jarnigan, parents Burl and Georgia Hickman, brother Kenny Hickman, nephew Chris Hickman and grandchild ShellMarie Hildrago.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Brenda will be remembered for her unwavering love, gentle spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
