Bob O. Lane

Bobby "Bob" Oliver Lane, age 87 of Dandridge, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2026 at Jefferson Park.

He married the love of his life, Joyce Mantooth, on October 9, 1959. The couple celebrated 66 years of marriage in October of last year. Bob retired from Tennessee Machine & Hosiery after 30 years of service. He was also a skilled craftsman and jewelry maker. He loved spending his spare time making beautiful, heirloom-quality pieces for family and friends to enjoy for generations.

Preceded in death by his parents, James Oliver Lane & Emma Faye Hall Lane; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Jean) Mantooth & Jimmy (Pauline) Mantooth, and Helen Thomas; Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce Lane; brother, Don (Janie) Lane; sister, and Linda (Dennis) Strange; as well as several nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Swannsylvania Cemetery with Rev. Andy Henard officiating.
