Billy Ray Mills

BILLY RAY MILLS, age 85, of Jefferson City, TN, also known as Papaw, Pappy and Daddy, made his way home peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2022 to be with the Lord and his loving wife, Lorene, who preceded him in death in 2020. He grew up in Thorn Hill, TN in a loving home with his parents, Lester and Dent, along with three sisters, Rema, Rosemary and Betty; also three brothers, Lloyd, Howard and Robert. He married the love of his life, Lorene in June of 1960 and they had one daughter, Terri Lynn.  He retired from Magnavox after 20 years of service, then worked another 20 years at Triangle Pacific and retired again. Bill was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. He loved to fish and eat, and especially loved to be around his family and friends. He was a kind, gentle and thoughtful person whose memory and selfless love will be forever in our hearts. He loved his granddaughters and great-granddaughter with a big heart running over with so much love and laughter. He never met a stranger and was loved by so many. Preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Mills; parents Lester and Dent Mills of Bean Station; brothers, Howard and Lloyd; and sister, Rema Davidson. He is survived by his loving daughter, Terri Fuller of New Jersey; two granddaughters, Jessica Fuller and Whitney Mazurek of New Jersey; and one beautiful great-granddaughter, Ava DiNapoli; along with little Lena Mae Mazurek who is scheduled to arrive in September. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and his best friend, Darryl Richardson of Morristown. He will be immensely missed. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home. Family and friends will then proceed from Farrar Funeral Home to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev. Buster Jarvis and Rev. Matt Caldwell officiating.
