Billy Joe Shrader, Talbott, born on July 10, 1942, left his aches and pains in this life and went to live in his eternal home on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Serenity House in Morristown.
Bill lived a full and hardworking life centered on his love for family and faith. On December 24, 1963, he married the love of his life, Marjorie Shipley Shrader, and together they built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and enduring love.
A faithful member of Lebanon Baptist Church, Bill lived his beliefs through service and generosity. He was a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Bill worked many years in construction and at Shelby Williams before retiring from Asarco Zinc Mines. Known for his talent and determination, there was nothing he couldn’t figure out or fix.
After retirement, he loved going to the flea market where he made many friends who have missed him this past year that he hasn't been able to go.
Above all, Bill cherished his family. He was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren and never missed a chance to brag on them. The light of his life, however, was always his beloved wife, Margie. Even in his final days, he shared with his nurses how beautiful she was and how many years they had shared together. Bill was a straight shooter with a big heart, a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and lived faithfully. His legacy of love, laughter, and integrity will continue to shine through the family he adored.

Bill leaves behind his wife of almost 62 years, Marjorie, two daughters Kim and Amy, and a son Kevin (Gidget). Also, granddaughters, Jessica, DeLana, Amber. Brittany (Garrett) Vincent, and Miranda (Jacob) Ingram, and a special little granddaughter Venus, brother, David Morris, sisters, Shirley Louis and Diane Cobble.
Bill's funeral will be Monday, October 6th at 2:00 at Lebanon Baptist Church in Talbott with Rev. Charlie Brewer preaching and music by Trevor Roberts and Marty Mills and burial to follow. The family will receive friends at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City on Sunday afternoon between 3 and 7 pm.
