Billie E. Riner

Billie E. Riner, age 94, of New Market, TN passed away at his residence Saturday, February 7, 2026 after a brief illness. He was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the USAF as a gunner on a B29. He was the first man in Strawberry Plains to receive a college degree from the University of Tennessee and retired as an electrical engineer at North American Phillips.

Billie is preceded in death by his wife of 67years, Juanita Jones Riner; son, Chris Riner; parents, William McKinnley and Minnie Horton Riner; sister, Nadine Riner Carmichael; and brother, Kenneth Riner.

He is survived by sons, Jeffrey (Michael) Riner, Patrick (Susan) Riner and David Riner; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2026 for an 11:00 a.m. graveside with military honors by VFW Post #5266 and Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating.
