Billie R Johnson

Billie R. Johnson, age 88 of White Pine, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. He was born on July 5, 1937, in West Virginia to George and Pauline Johnson. He was a member of Nina Baptist Church and a former member of Oak Hills Baptist Church. Billie was a tour guide in Washington, DC for 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, late wife, Juanita, son, Mike Johnson, sisters, Judy and Janet, brother, R. B., stepson, Ronnie Dennison and several other family members.

Billie is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Peggy, son, Brian, sister, Kathy Muncy, son, David (Penny) Dennison, special niece, Sharon Tarman, special nephew, Boomer Muncy and several other nieces, nephews and family members.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Nina Baptist Church, White Pine, with Rev. Jimmy Norris and Rev. Wayne McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 4-6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Military Graveside Interment will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Dandridge Memorial Gardens.
