Bill Edward “Bear” Denton, age 82 of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 19, 2020. He was a member of French Broad Church of the Brethren for over 50 years. Bill loved the Lord and his church family along with hunting and fishing, Bill was an avid Bear Hunter and loved life and lived it to the fullest. Bill loved teaching his grandchildren how to farm. He was retired from ASARCO after 30 + years of service to them. He is preceded in death by the love of his life his wife of 63 years Joyce Ramsey Denton who passed on March 23, 2020, his parents, Howard and Mae Franklin Denton, brother, Phillip Ray Denton, sisters, Mary Jo Denton and Betty Jean Stipes. Bill is survived by daughter, Collen Diane (Jack) Quisenberry; son, Charles David (Sharon) Denton; grandsons, Dustin Mitchell (Robin) Mantooth, Luke Edward (Kalynn) Quisenberry and Charles Daniel McClain; step-grandchildren, Richard and Abigail Campbell and special great-grandson, Mitchell Edward Mantooth; sisters, Margaret (Larry) Elder and Wanda Sue Denton. Bill will Lie In State at the Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge between the hours of 12-2:00pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 with a Graveside Funeral Service at 2:00pm in French Broad Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
