Betty Jo Reneau

Betty Jo (Patterson) Reneau, age 83, was called home to heaven on Monday October 12th, 2026.

Betty was born on January 25, 1943 to her parents Tom and Loraine Patterson. She made Dandridge, specifically the Shady Grove area, her home for all of her life with her husband Willie (Buddy) Reneau. She attended and was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist church.

Her and Buddy had two daughters Leandra and Melanie, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She also treasured her dog Bentley. The most important thing to her has always been family. She made it a priority to try to keep family members connected by researching and writing several genealogy books. She was proudest of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves a lasting legacy of loving one another and putting family first.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Tom and Loraine Patterson. She is survived by her husband Buddy, daughters Melanie (Mark) Kasaval and Leandra Puckett, sister Pat Taylor, grandchildren Brittany (Jonathan) Maples, Ethan (Dayna) Puckett, Aly (Roland) Mahe, Jaiden Kasaval, and Mathew (Leslie) Puckett, great grandchildren Carter, Catherine, and Cameron Maples, and several treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services for Betty Jo will be held on Friday October 16 at Shady Grove Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 and a funeral service will begin at 7:00. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 am on Saturday October 17 at Shady Grove Cemetery across from the church.
