Almer David Cline

Almer David Cline, age 89 of New Market, TN, went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2026. He served in the Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 113, the VFW, and was a past state president of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He retired from UPS and was a member of Paw Paw Hollow Baptist Church. He was an avid animal lover who loved to spend his time outdoors, especially hiking in the Smoky Mountains, and hanging out by the pool.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Artie Cline; son, Robert “Ducky” David Cline; granddaughter, Kayla Jean Cline; and sisters, Bobbie Williams and Betty Ann Jones. He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Cline; daughter, Kelly (Tim) Cline-Smith; grandchildren, Kevin Coy (Mandy) Cline and Amy Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Brody and Rex Cline; sister, Linda Howard; and several other family members.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Ronnie White officiating. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
