Alex Lee Waites

Alex Lee Waites, age 80 of White Pine, passed away at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Systems on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. He was born in Greeneville to the late Harley and Chassie Waites. He retired from Lea Industries where he worked in the finishing room where he was a sprayer. He is preceded in death by his parents; baby brother, Luke Edward Waites; sister, Ida Belle Smith and brother, Jesse Troy Waites. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years, Roberta Waites; daughters, Tammy (Jim) Douglas and Judy (Joe) Kennedy; son, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Waites; grandchildren, Chassie (Shaun) Inman, Wendy (Jason) Ellison, Brandi (Nathan) Chambers, William “Buck” (Chelsea) Douglas, Jessica Kennedy and Leah Waites, eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Jane (Dale) Ellison, several nieces, nephews, other family members and many precious church family and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine, with the Rev. Dennis Daugherty and Rev Jeff Daugherty officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the funeral service.
