Jerry W. Mingie

Jerry W. Mingie, age 74 of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away on December 17, 2019 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Mingie, parents, Floyd and Mae Mingie, and brother, Bill Mingie. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his son, Paul (Candy) Mingie, step children, Margaret Hawkins and Sue Smith, step granddaughters, Samantha and Sean Harless, and June Radford, sisters, Sandi Deleanu, Brenda Bridgman, Shirley Webb, and Susie Wilson, brothers, David, Fred, and Les Mingie, friend, William Bieckert, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2019 at Farrar Funeral Home. Graveside interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2019 prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
