H. Don Shaw

H. Don Shaw, age 81, of Dandridge, TN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at home after a long illness due to Parkinsons and a stroke. He was born September 9, 1939 in Cleveland, TN. Don was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church. He was retired from ASARCO mines in October 2004 and also retired from Jefferson County Sanitation Department in May 2011. Don loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle and Mary Irene Shaw; brothers, Bill Shaw and Bob Shaw; father and mother-in-law, Ramon and Eulah McSpadden. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years and exceptional caretaker for the last 17 years, Marjorie Shaw; daughter, Donna (Chuck) Robison; son, David (Betty) Shaw all of Dandridge; grandchildren, Megan (Justin) Rutzinski, Courtney (Chad) Cain, Nicole (Tabor) Elder. Kara (Dillon) Moyers; great-grandchildren, Luke Rutzinski; brother, Stan (Tina) Shaw and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery with Reverend Perry Davis and Chaplain Garland Long officiating. Family and friends may call on Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge Chapel on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 9:00am until 5:00pm. Pallbearers are David Shaw, Chuck Robison, Justin Rutzinski, Chad Cain, Dillon Moyers and Billy Shaw. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for all the love and support and care they have shown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. Judes Hospital.
