Frank L. Shumate

Frank L. Shumate, age 87 of Talbott, TN went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Doris Shumate, and brother, Larry Shumate. He was a member of Talbott Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a home builder until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruby Jean Shumate, brothers and sisters, Joan Gothard, Fred (Carolyn) Shumate, Mary West, Edward (Brenda) Shumate, and Herbert (Mona) Shumate, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
