Buddy Lynn Turpin

BUDDY LYNN TURPIN, age 78, of Knoxville, TN went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2021. He was a unique and fun loving person. He loved his family, loved to travel, and enjoyed the great outdoors. He was really a cowboy at heart. He retired from the Knoxville News Sentinel after 45 years of service. Preceded by his parents, Lee Turpin and Agnes Turpin; and his best friend, Harold “Buckwheat” Wells. He is survived by the love of his life and companion of 52 years, Susan Maynard; and all his hunting and travel buddies, including Stephen Kent (Vicki), Ivan “The Great” Harmon, Dan Grannon, Scott Harmon and Pete Gerlach. A private graveside service will be held and a bonfire celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
