Willis "Benny" Benjamin Willocks

Willis Benjamin “Benny” Willocks, age 78, of Strawberry Plains, TN born May 19, 1939 to Teddy and Martha Willocks of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away March 27, 2018. He was a member and deacon of the Strawberry Plains Presbyterian Church. He was a 1957 graduate of Rush Strong High School and a 1962 graduate of Tennessee Technical University. He is a veteran of the United States Army, where he was stationed in Korea as well as Walter Reed Medical Hospital. He was a lifelong beef cattle farmer in Strawberry Plains. He served on the Board of Directors for the Jefferson County Farmers Coop and was a member of the Livestock Association. He is preceded in death by his parents, Teddy L. Willocks and Martha Cline Willocks. He is survived by his sister, Rebecca Charles of Strawberry Plains; daughters, Amy (Matt) Hrinyak of Chalfont, PA and Amanda (Brian) Giles of Strawberry Plains; grandsons, Ben and Josh Giles; nephews, Patrick (Niki) Charles and Nick (Dena) Charles of Strawberry Plains and Luke (Alison) Charles of Memphis; as well as several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. George Waters officiating. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 9:45 a.m. Saturday morning at Strawberry Plains Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside interment service. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Giles, Ben Giles, Matt Hrinyak, Patrick Charles, Luke Charles and Nick Charles. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care and dedication.
