Roger S. Pounders

ROGER S. POUNDERS, age 54, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday afternoon, October 1, 2017 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church and volunteered at Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity. Prceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Nora (Rockwell) Pounders; brother, Wayne Pounders. He is survived by his wife, Lana Southerland Pounders; sons, Joshua Pounders and Brandon (Beckie) Pounders; sisters, Brenda (Jerry) Whitson and Judy Greene; brother, Wade Pounders; father-in-law, Lloyd Southerland; sisters-in-law, Becky (Kenny) Jenkins and Lisa (Eric) Garrison; brother-in-law, Gary (Felicia) Southerland; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Dandridge First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, Dandridge, TN 37725 or Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity, 490 Hwy. 92, Jefferson City, TN 37760. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017, 7:00pm at the Dandridge First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Steve Brown officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at the church.
