DeVota Z. Mills

DeVOTA Z. MILLS passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at NHC Assisted Living, Farragut, Tennessee at the age of 96. She was born in Dandridge, TN, the daughter of Benjamin and Maggie Zirkle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Mills; daughter, Eloise Mills; great-grandson, Aidan M. Patrick; parents, Benjamin and Maggie Zirkle; and sister, Agnes Taylor. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jerry Patrick; grandson, Lee, and his wife, Tanya Patirck; great-granddaughters, Lindsey and Abby; grandson, Jonathon, and his wife, Pamela Patrick; great-granddaughter, Chloe all of Knoxville, TN; and nephew, Ron Taylor, of Franklin TN. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Etowah, TN. She and her husband were owners of H. L. Mills Jewelers in Etowah, TN where she resided for 50 years. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 11:00A.M. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hwy. 25/70, Dandridge, TN. The family wishes to thank the staffs of NHC Assisted Living and Caris Hospice for their loving care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in DeVota’s name to CADES, Concord United Methodist Church, 11020 Roane Drive, Knoxville, TN 37934.
