  • Grief Share - Grief Support Group

    Grief Share is a program to help and encourage individuals after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend. Those interested in attending Grief Share are welcome to begin attending at any point. Each session is "self-contained," so you do not have to attend in sequence. Grief Share Support Group will meet Tuesdays from 10:00am until 11:30am starting September 22. This will be a 13-week cycle that will conclude on December 15.   • Grief Recovery Support Group - Your Journey from Mourning to Joy

    It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you've probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. That's the reason for GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. A GriefShare workbook assists you with note-taking, journaling and grief study. The videos feature top experts o grief recovery, dramatic reenactments about living with grief and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. During the small group discussion time, you'll have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss, learn about their experiences and share your own. GriefShare is a nondenominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. Please join for the next GriefShare session.   • White Pine Annual Christmas Parade

    The Town of White Pine will be hosting it's Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 5, 2015. Line up will be starting at 3:00pm in parking lot of First Baptist Church in White Pine, with the parade beginning promptly at 4:00pm, Come on out and celebrate the Christmas Season with the Town of White Pine, there will be a special appearance from Santa Claus. The parade will be taking the old route thru the heart of the town and ending at the Ruritan Building where Santa will meet the children and young at heart to hear Christmas wishes and give out treats. The White Pine Fire Department will be serving refreshments. Please come out and celebrate the reason for the season with us.
